The ORP electrode is a sensor based on an electrochemical cell. This cell begins to suffer wear from the moment of its manufacture until the end of its useful life. The life of an electrode is limited, being typical from 1 year to 2 years. Careful handling and good cleaning are essential for a good result in the measurements.

Before measuring or calibrating, the electrode should be rinsed with distilled water. Never touch the electrode with your fingers, paper or anything other than water.

We advise you to recalibrate the ORP probe with a proper calibration solution for optimum precision. You can combine the purchase of an ORP probe with an ORP calibration solution (available in our store) without additional shipping costs.
